I found on internet a lot of suggestions on how upgrade Windows 11 21H2 to 22H2. I tried some but I always got the message "... trouble determinating if your PC can run Windows Server...".
My PC has Windows 11 21H2 and not the Windows Server!
Here my experience about the update to unsupported hardware with 22H2.

This is not a tutorial but just my personal notes

I used the following solution "Upgrade Windows 11 to 22H2 on unsupported hardware - YouTube". See references for link.

STEPS

  1. Download media creation tool and create the ISO
  2. Double click to mount the ISO
  3. Copy all folders and File from ISO mounted in a new folder
  4. Replace the source\appraiserres.dll with the DLL from Jensd site
  5. Run the Setup

TROUBLE 1#

During the installation I was stuck on the following message:

Sorry, we're having trouble determinating if your PC can run Windows Server. Please close Setup and try again.
I fixed it just removing "Windows PC Health Check". it was mandatory during update Windows 11  21H2 using the standard ISO image. File downloaded name "WindowsPCHealthCheckSetup.msi".

TROUBLE 2#

During process the windows installation reported a wrong title:
Install Windows Server
If you will get the same title you can ignore it because Windows 11 will be installed. I found the confirmartion on Microsoft Community: Windows 11 Setup says "Install Windows Server" instead of "Install Windows 11".
